Purpose
The Texas Creditors Bar Association is an organization of Texas attorneys that was formed for the purpose of promoting professionalism among collection attorneys, elevating the practice of collection law, and improving the judicial system for the benefit of its members.
Committees
Legislative Affairs
Chair:
This committee’s main goal is to keep TXCBA members up to date on legislative updates through the monthly newsletter and discussions in our forum group. Additionally, the Committee members follow proposed legislation during the legislative session in Austin and appear at public hearings when necessary to express the interests and viewpoints of TXCBA members.
Judicial Affairs
Chair:
Members of this committee engage with the judiciary, update members on new cases and court rules. This committee also coordinates activities related to any judicial receptions and events where members of the judiciary are invited.
Public Outreach
Chair:
This is the charitable arm of TXCBA. The public outreach committee works to provide free financial literacy programs in our local communities.
CLE/Education
Chair:
This committee ensures TXCBA provides on-point, relevant, free educational seminars to its members on topics related to debt collection practice. Members of this committee help organize the CLEs, reaching out to potential speakers, third-party vendors providing space and food/beverage, the State Bar with respect to program certification, the TXCBA Board, and potential attendees.

Chair:
This committee ensures TXCBA serves members' needs by providing programs and services that benefit them. Committee members help manage the membership roster, communicate with prospective members to increase the organization's membership, and engage with the board to voice members' concerns about programs and services.
